Vintage clothing is second hand cloths or cloths from the 1920s to the 1980s. An antique clothe is what´s considered vintage. Retro (retrospective) is also vintage, most vintage cloths have been worn, and just a little percentage is new. Most of the time the new vintage has a higher price, also vintage that has been worn (second hand) and still has its original tag have higher prices.
Vintage clothing wasn’t a big thing until celebrities started using it in the 1990, like Kate Moss, Julia Roberts and many followed after that. Other things that have made vintage demand increase is that fact that people feel it´s unique. Most vintage was custom made or made in small amounts. So from a point of view it is unique.
Vintage has a very good quality, it´s made from good, lasting materials. Good materials had to be use because vintage was passed from generation to generation, so the cloths had to last. Not like now that you buy a shirt and after using it two times it’s no good, and you have to get rid of it.
